Native App Delivery Framework
From one-off delivery to a repeatable practice.
My role
Author & framework lead
Outcome
Made native-app delivery repeatable across teams, not dependent on a few individuals.
01
The problem
- Building a Snowflake Native App well the first time is hard; doing it consistently across many teams is harder. Early on, the knowledge lived in a few people's heads.
- Without a shared framework, each new app risked re-learning the same lessons about creation, deployment, security, and governance — slowly, and inconsistently.
02
The approach
- I authored the core playbooks: how native apps get created, deployed, and governed, and the standards they need to meet.
- I treated the documentation as an architecture problem, not a writing chore — designing it so future teams could make good decisions and evolve the practice, not just follow steps.
03
The outcome
- Teams could deliver native applications repeatably and to a consistent standard.
- The framework became the shared foundation the practice builds and improves on.
